The Short: Up to snuff. Nice atmosphere.
Recommended if you like wrought iron, rainy days, sour candy
I played Escape the Ghost Town on a plane and it was one of the best decisions of my entire life. I don’t know if small spaces give you anxiety but being able to fixate on an easy-medium escape game set in a charming “ghost” house for two hours is way better than worrying if you’re going to have a panic attack. This just in: escape games are perfect for plane trips.
There is nothing scary or even creepy about Escape the Ghost Town. The rooms are messy, yes, but otherwise it feels like more of a “fairy” space than a “ghost” one. Solidly good puzzles. Good for both beginners and seasoned players. Not much cascade and no mythology. It lasted me almost exactly from take off to landing. A perfect diversion!
Difficulty Elements: readily-apparent puzzle arrays | invisible puzzle arrays | no Absurdity | low cascade | typical solves | some unique solves
